French Reef

French Reef offers multiple swim-through caves in the 30-35 foot depth range, along with decent drift diving potential in the 40-50 foot depth range.  Sea Turtles, Goliath Grouper, and Reef Sharks make sporadic appearances here, as do Nurse Sharks, Reef Sharks, and Stingrays.  The usual reef fishes and critters are routinely sighted.

Wide channels of fine coral sand separate coral spurs that extend seaward from 30-40', between two disconnected ledges that run roughly parallel to shore.  The shoreward ledge is perforated with swim-through caves.  The seaward ledge is more vertical and intact.  French Reef typically features less current and lower visibility than nearby Molasses Reef.
